I love dips, don’t you? There’s so much variability and they make the perfect snack! I personally try to devour the protein packed, lighter ones. If you’re in my team and you like lentils, you should totally try this one!
I used brown lentils because they are my fave. Also, they easily come already pre-cooked in the can, leaving you only to heat them for a few minutes before enjoying them!
You can also do another variety, like red lentils. Just check their respective cooking times!
Here I added a bit of tahini (sesame seed paste) and lemon juice to get extra fats and acidity (like you would do with hummus). The water in the mix is my hack to prevent having a dip that is too oily – but you can adjust the dosage as you prefer!
I also added some fresh thyme because it goes beautifully with the lentils – if you prefer other herbs like sage or rosemary you can use those instead!

Sounds yummy! Did you use a small can? So replace with maybe 400g home-cooked lentils with liquid?
Hi Gin, thank you for your comment! It was a ‘regual size’ can, so around 250g lentils without liquid. With home-cooked lentils I would use the same amount (250g) – or use 400g and add more seasoning! Let meknow how it turns out!
