Pastry with Prosciutto, Gorgonzola & Figs

by Micaela Harrasser

This delicious pastry snack is super easy and quick to make – perfect for a party starter! You just roll out the pastry and top it with prosciutto crudo, gorgonzola & figs. They go so well together, the result is gorgeous: you have the saltiness from the ham, combined with the rich and tangy cheese – while the sweetness from the figs and syrup mellows the other strong flavors down a bit. Perfect!

If you are not a fan of blue cheese (although the funky taste is reduced after cooking), you can try another type of cheese that is milder/more to your personal taste. Something rich, that melts well like camembert, or fontina or taleggio (if you want to stay in Italy) would work well. Enjoy!
